Globe-spanning electronic duo Eku Fantasy return with their first new music of 2020, a beatless double A-side of melancholy dream pop. Nigerian/British vocalist Olugbenga Adelekan flew over from the UK to write alongside producer Gareth Jones (AKA Jumping Back Slash) in his home studio in Knsyna, South Africa.

Built around a repeating piano motif that could almost be a sample, ‘Ayodele’ explores the feelings of a man on his way to meet his newborn son. The track floats on a bed of tender backing vocals and muted bass before building to a massive
synth-solo that recalling the anime and sci-fi soundtracks so beloved by both Eku Fantasy members.

‘Domino’ attempts to bridge the gap to a loved one who has put themselves beyond reach. Here the rhythm of the track is driven by an indelible keyboard arpeggio that complements the insistent, almost monotone vocal asking ‘Can I sit next to you in the late afternoon?’
